ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Shortly after 9/11, Homes for Heroes was established to give back to firefighters, law enforcement, military, healthcare workers, EMS, and teachers for all they do. It is the largest nationwide network of affiliate real estate specialists and local businesses committed to providing easy ways for the heroes of our nation to buy their homes. 719Heroes is the Colorado Springs, Colorado network of area realtors who further this vision by rewarding these heroes with 25% of their commissions.
The founders of 719Heroes hired BRITT FILMS to help them create a promotional video to gain attention for their upcoming event on May 4th in which they will attempt to raise $115k for K9 officers and equine (horse) deputies. All proceeds will benefit Colorado Springs Police Dept, El Paso County Sheriffs Office, Fountain Police Dept and Woodland Park Police Dept.
For this video, rather than going in a traditional promotional/commercial route, we decided to humanize the idea of canine officers by showing that, at the end of the day, they are regular, playful pups just like the ones many of us have at home. With this idea in mind, we produced a micro film that illustrates the bond between the human officer and his canine officer as they go from normal daily activity, to on-the-job, and back home after a long day.
