ABOUT THE PROJECT:
I returned for a second year to Woodmen Valley Chapel's high school winter camp, which I first filmed in 2017. Over a weekend, students engaged in games, teachings, musical worship, and getting to know each other while they unplugged from their daily lives. Like last year, I followed them around the campgrounds with a camera in hand, but I decided this time I wanted to get more closeups of the bonding between attenders and capture moments of sincerity and fun!
I filmed a strong sampling of the first two days of the three-day event and quickly edited a short recap video to highlight the camp experience and be shared with the students on the third and final day before returning home. I also provided a copy to the camp leaders who were to meet the parents before the students returned so they could watch the video and get a feel for what their teens' weekend looked like. It was a lot of work in a short amount of time, but it was also a blast to be engulfed in the energy of these God-hungry students!
